Sibling Tribute Week – Day 3*
One thing to say about my older sister Rebecca Marion is that she’s been selfless in pacifying our parents by providing them with grandchildren so none of the rest of us have to worry about it yet. She and Samuel have 3 spectacular children who I literally can’t get enough of. (Living 1,500 miles away, that makes sense.) Becca (or Becola, as my dad calls her) is also gorgeous, and makes anyone she’s talking to feel like the most important person in the room.
Her husband Samuel probably feels that way a lot. He is such a great match for Becca because he keeps her grounded (aka doesn’t go easy on her in their very public wrestling matches) but also shows his love in obvious ways. He’s taught her to do so much (hunting comes to mind) and they have such a fun time together.
Becca has a crazy side that comes out especially when she’s around family, and we love her for it. She’s inspiring, tireless, creative – overall just extraordinary, in every sense of the word. She is unforgettable, and if you’ve ever met her, you know what I mean. She has a ton of energy, which she not only utilizes in raising her kids, but also in running, mountain biking, kayaking, etc. I am so lucky to be her sister (because it means I’m automatically a part of her life), but am also extremely blessed to be able to call her my friend.
*Yes, I missed yesterday, but since it’s December, I no longer have to make excuses, so you’re just going to have to deal with it.
