You may remember that a couple of months back, I started (or, perhaps more appropriately, did not start) training for a marathon.  Since that time, I have diligently gone out for my jogs, slowly but surely increased my mileage, and gained confidence that I might actually be able to really do this!  However, last Saturday, after logging 14 miles (and feeling pretty good, I might add), tragedy struck.

If you have read more than one post on this blog, you may know I’m prone to hyperbole, so maybe “tragedy” is not the best word.  Basically, what happened is my foot REALLY started hurting after I finished the run, and now, four days later, my foot still feels like crap even though I skipped my Monday run.  So now I’m trying to decide if I should rest another day or not – it felt like it was getting better but throughout the work day today, it’s been pretty miserable (okay, and I probably should not be wearing the shoes I have on right now…)

Anyway, just wanted to gripe a bit, because I’ve never really had any sort of “running injury” before, and I don’t like it.  I’ll keep you posted…
